The MJBizDaily Awards recognize excellence and impact in the cannabis industry and will celebrate at this year’s MJBizCon in Las Vegas the individuals and companies that propel the marijuana industry forward. Set for the evening of Dec. 12 at the Cosmopolitan, the inaugural MJBizDaily Awards Gala will include presentations of several awards, including:

• Regional Game Changer Award

• Community Impact Award

• U.S. Market Leader Award

• Industry Impact Award

Over the next few days, watch for slideshows highlighting each of those awards’ nominees. Today’s slideshow will focus on the Community Impact Award.

MJBizDaily Awards will go to two companies or individuals with a pair of Community Impact Awards, one for Giving Back to the Community and another for Sustainable Business Practices.

The award for Giving Back honors a company or individual who works to create positive change in the community through charitable donations, on-the-ground volunteering and serving vulnerable members of the community. A successful finalist for this award has a history of positive contributions and good standing in the community.

The award for Sustainable Business Practices honors a company or individual who has made conscious efforts to reduce energy and water use and to curb emissions created during daily business practices. Finalists for this award are standard-bearers in the industry that strive to set a good example for other businesses.
